I am a website and digital content professional with a background in IT operations, technical support and freelance photography. I combine practical technical knowledge with a creative perspective, taking a broad view of how websites, content and digital channels work together to create an effective online presence.
I have been working with WordPress since 2010, with previous experience using Joomla and other content management systems. My current work includes maintaining and developing websites for my own photography projects and supporting the digital presence of the ArtGemini Prize, including its website, social media and newsletter. My technical knowledge covers website maintenance, hosting, domains, HTML, CSS, PHP, databases and digital tools, alongside an interest in SEO, accessibility, analytics and user experience.
Alongside my digital work, I have spent the past four years developing my career as a freelance photographer. My practice explores fine art, urban environments, architecture and visual storytelling. I am currently developing photography-related projects and services, including London Photo Tour, while continuing to build my portfolio and explore new creative collaborations.
My professional background also includes several years in IT roles at Meliá Hotels International, where I supported regional IT operations, infrastructure and communications, worked with external suppliers and business teams, and contributed to technology roll-outs and hotel openings. This experience strengthened my technical problem-solving, organisation and ability to work across different teams and operational environments.
I value a practical, adaptable approach to work. Rather than focusing on one isolated aspect of digital communication, I enjoy understanding the bigger picture, identifying what needs to be improved and finding workable solutions that bring together technology, content and user needs.
I am interested in opportunities where I can combine my IT experience, website management skills and creative background to help organisations maintain and improve their digital presence, deliver useful content and create a better online experience for their audiences.
